UK-Ukraine TechExchange Brings Kvertus To London For Technology Showcase

LONDON, UK - 2 May 2025. It's been a dynamic and impactful period in London for Ukrainian defence technology innovator Kvertus, with their visit facilitated by the UK-Ukraine TechExchange. The week was packed with high-level engagements, showcasing their cutting-edge solutions to key industry players and thought leaders.

The visit commenced on Tuesday, April 22nd, with UK-Ukraine TechExchange partnering with The D Group to host an exclusive dinner event centered on peacekeeping and security in the complex landscape of hybrid warfare and open borders. The event brought together a distinguished group of guests, with a particular highlight being the insightful address from Lieutenant General Sir Charlie Stickland. TechExchange cohort member Kvertus showcased their state-of-the-art DefenceTech, including the technology that will power Project Atlas, the £100m initiative to establish an anti-drone wall along the 1300km Ukrainian-russian border. Kvertus’ CEO, Yaroslav Filimonov, and their Commercial Director, Serhii Skoryk, traveled from Ukraine to present these crucial capabilities. The juxtaposition of their advanced tech alongside inspiring artwork created a particularly striking and thought-provoking atmosphere.

On Wednesday, April 23rd, UK-Ukraine TechExchange partnered with techUK to host a focused discussion on defence technology making a tangible difference on the Ukrainian frontlines. Following their technology showcase at The D Group dinner, Kvertus’s Yaroslav Filimonov and Serhii Skoryk engaged in a compelling fireside chat on electronic warfare technologies, expertly moderated by Jeremy Wimble. They provided invaluable first-hand insights into the urgent situation in Ukraine and the effective technologies being deployed to counter threats, including Kvertus’s recently developed automated Electronic Warfare (EW) system, Project Atlas.

On Friday, April 25th, Kvertus attended the 3rd annual UK-Ukraine Defence Tech forum hosted by Strategy Council. At this crucial event, held at the prestigious Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), discussions centered on attracting vital investment to accelerate the deployment of next-generation technologies. Kvertus CEO Yaroslav Filimonov took the stage to present Project Atlas, highlighting its potential to significantly enhance Ukraine's border security through advanced Electronic Warfare technology. Fellow UK-Ukraine TechExchange cohort members FoxFour and Huless also shared their groundbreaking work.

On Thursday, May 1st, the focus on counter-drone technology continued as the ADS Drone Platform & Counter-Drone (DPAC) special interest group hosted its full group meeting. This event, with a focus on defence and security, featured insights from Squadron Leader Hugo Morris (British Army Headquarters), the UK Joint C-UAS Office (JCO), Mark Townend (Resilium UK), the National Protective Security Authority (NPSA), and Fred Thomas MP (APPG for Defence Technology). Serhiy Skoryk presented Kvertus groundbreaking technologies to the sophisticated audience of experts in counter-drone technologies.

Throughout their visit, valuable briefings were also organized with leading publications such as The Economist and the Financial Times, further amplifying the importance of Kvertus's work.

This intensive period of engagements demonstrates how UK-Ukraine TechExchange is actively fulfilling its mission: connecting innovative forces in defence technologies between the UK and Ukraine.

Our sincere appreciation goes to Seumas Kerr CBE, Sanju Gurung, and the entire team at The D Group; Jeremy Wimble and the wider TechUK team; Stephen Butler and the entire Strategy Council team for their ongoing support of the TechExchange programme.
